Consultation on RSHE Policy and Resources
The Trust will be running a consultation on St Benet’s MAT’s Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education and Health Education (RSHE) Policy and RSHE Curriculum resources. The consultation period will run from 13 July 2026 until 19 July 2026; during this time, members of our community are invited to express their views and any concerns about the St Benet’s MAT RSHE Policy and the RSHE Curriculum resources.
In accordance with the DfE’s July 2025 statutory ‘Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education’ guidance, we must consult on our RSHE Policy when developing our curriculum and policy. You can see the proposed RSHE policy here along with an overview of the curriculum resources from Pol-Ed.
The consultation will run for one week and, we are keen to hear the views of parents/carers of pupils in our schools on the proposed changes; therefore, we invite you to participate in the consultation if you have any concerns regarding the matter.
All responses to the consultation should be made in writing and submitted before midnight on 19 July 2026 to: Tara Burrows, Governance Officer: tara.burrows@donesc.org
Please note that written responses should outline your personal details, including your name, address and relationship to the school.
At the end of the consultation period, the Trust will consider the responses. The outcome of the consultation will be published on the Trust website as soon as possible following a decision being reached by the Trust. Hard copies will be made available on request to all respondents of the consultation.
If you wish to further discuss this matter please contact Tara Burrows, Governance Officer on tara.burrows@donesc.org.
